Dear all, my Udoo Neo does not seem to boot anymore. I did the following trouble shooting: 1) checked the SHA1 (correct) 2) I reflashed a SD card 3) checked the voltage and current of the power supply (in spec) 4) the green LED lights up, however, no red light flashes up (this used to be the case before) Any idea from your side what to try would be highly appreciated. Greetings from San Francisco, Thorsten
Dear Udoohorst, in order to exclude hardware problems would you mind testing the previous beta and check if that work?
Sure, will do! I already tested the beta (UDOObuntu_neo_v2.0beta5.img) and it didn't work, but please let me try this again with a new SD card. It used to work with the beta version, i just recently wanted to update to the new version to use the 7 display as well. best, thorsten
Hi. Do you have a serial-to-usb adapter? On the J7 connector there is the CPU debug port. It would be useful to read the output.
Hi Francesco, thank you for your reply. I don´t have a serial-to-usb adapter. Is there a commercial one that I can buy to read out the output? If not, if you send me the wiring diagram, I could try to make it by my own. Best regards, Thorsten
hi francesco, i received the adapter, may you walk me through reading out the CPU debug port? I am using Mac, best, thorsten
Check this as a reference http://gmacario.github.io/howto/udo...08/connecting-to-udoo-neo-serial-console.html It uses another (old) OS but the rest should be the same
