Does the user has write permission on the hard disk?
sudo chown [username] /mnt/hdd
sudo chmod -R a+rwx /mnt/hdd
BTW.: Arch has Fuse-Support, tried it by my self with NTFS-3g
Module fuse still not there ... but ntfs-3g is installed, this doesnt even make sense for me ...

Does this procedure happens on the UDOO or on a different ubuntu system?
Does "Debian Wheezy ArmHF" contains modules for NTFS (ntfs-3g), exFAT and CIFS?
