Anybody who got the sata working on the Quad Udoobuntu 2.0 RC2?

HI,

I tried everything to got the sata working with the Quad Udoobuntu 2.0 RC2. I tried it as explained in the manuals, both ways: for the Udoobuntu 2.0 and the Udoobuntu 1.1. I also tried all the different hacks i could find on the internet.
Somebody found a way?

I haven't with UDOObuntu 2.0 RC2, yet. It did work with older versions.

 

Annoying, The serial connection finally is more stable in RC 2.0, but now i loose the sata and can't start my VNC server automatically at boot. When is this finally gone work as intended? Everytime we advance one step, we go 2 steps backwards somewhere else.

But haven't put a lot of effort in to it.

 

What is exactly the problem that you've experienced?

 

Let's start with the correct way to set it up. The exact URL with the instructions. I have the small u-boot SD card set up. It would be nice to know what flavor (zImage, xImage, etc.)of the kernel the u-boot is looking for. In case someone wants to compile their own version. Which I have! The versions UDOO presents, didn't work either. I guess I should try it again, and document what I observe. Let me do this first.

 

I had the same issue until i did the whole procedure from within a booted SD image.
Previous attempts flashing the images from a windows machine all failed.

First flashed a 16GB sd card with the latest image then loaded and logged in.
Re-downloaded all the necessary files and went through the whole procedure.
The only thing I added to every line in the tutorial was to put 'sudo' in front of all the commands (obvious of course )

 

The post is about UDOObuntu 2 RC2. Have you tried UDOObuntu 2? On UDOObuntu 2 SATA boot works.
