A few days ago, I installed xubuntu onto my Udoo X86.

Last night I attempted to install Ubuntu on the same system.
I either get the message (initramfs) unable to find a live medium containing a live file system or it drops me into ash (busybox).

I have used multiple usb sticks, microsd cards in the sd card slot. The media is fine. It works correctly on a desktop computer.

I set the UEFI back to default and still have the same problem. What has happened to my Udoo?

Did you install Xubuntu in UEFI mode?

Does the Ubuntu install media contain a UEFI version?

When you turn on the UDOO X86, enter the firmware SCU by pressing the <ESC> key after System power up, during POST phase.
Here there will be a boot menu that should list the UEFI install media. Click this and the media should install under UEFI mode.
