    Hello,

is it possible to use a sata port multiplier like
    http://www.ioi.com.tw/products/proddeta ... ID=1070063
    with udoo.

I would like to make a NAS using Openmediavault with the HD in raid 1 or raid 5.

If you know what would be the performance issues and if it is at all possible ? Or if you could point me in the right direction where i would be able to get this information.

    Anybody has any experience ?

    Tnx

Hmmm... Interesting... Haven't seen one of these before. I would expect that if you're trying to use it for something like RAID5, it would be ok. If you're trying to do the RAID that gives faster performance (can't remember it that's 0 or 1?) you're still going to be limited by the single SATA port's throughput maximum.

Bigger issue is that there isn't a RAID Manager version for ARM Linux (look at the downloads tab on the page you listed.) Not sure what they would keep you from doing or not.

I think I`ve seen this question on other development board forums like the sheeevaplug , where people tried , but in the end failed to get it working due a kernel support

I'm upping this thread 'cause I'd like to make the same thing and I can't find a clear answer for the udoo board.
    I saw this product http://www.addonics.com/products/ad5sarm6g.php
I found the following in the user guide :
    Any though on this ?
