I have my Udoobuntu 1.1 system running on a Udon Quad. I can make it send out a wifi signal so other devices can connect to this. I do that by clicking "create new wireless network" from the wireless network dropdown. I gave it a name and no security options just to test with. My MacBook Air has no problem finding it, albeit not as a normal wireless network but as "devices" which became a new category under the dropdown of other networks. I run a server on my Udoo to interface with a M3D printer. I can control it without problems from my macbook air.

However my android phone (Nexus 5) does not find the network at all. Ideally I would control the server using that device. How do I find the network of the Udoo?

I'd suggest to move to UDOObuntu 2 and eventually check for Google support.
