ubuntu 16.04 installation in udoo neo

I was following the instructions in this link(https://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu) to install ubuntu 16.04 (ARM version) in Udoo neo.The shell script mentioned there showed that the ubuntu 16.04 installer supports udoo quad/dual.Since the latest release of udoobunto 2.4 supports all the three udoo boards( neo,dual and quad) simultaneously, i assumed that the ubuntu 16.04 support for udoo dual/quad will support udoo neo also. But on building the image on SD Card 16Gb, the udoo neo is unable to boot.

Any support on installing ubuntu 16.04 xenial on Udoo NEO is appreciated.

 

Kindly note a mistake I made in the udoobuntu version mentioned above...it should be udoobuntu 2.1.4..

 

16.04 is not supported yet. There is some beta flowing around but it is not fully operational.

 

I'm working on that on my spare time. I have most of the stuff working, we just need to finalize the new virtual serial port between A9/M4.
If you want to provide me some feedback, it is welcome.
