    Hello,
i'm new to the forum, i've just bought a udoo x86 ultra,
i was thinking if the udoo x86 supports video\audio input through the hdmi port, or if there is any alternative without buying and expensive external device to get audio\video in.

    Any advice on this?
    Thanks

No. Just like every PC, its HDMI and the two mini-DVI ports are all output ports.
What you need is a digital video capture card, usually costs at least $100 a piece.

Take a look at "Debut Video Capture Software" it is very useful to view and record video display while watching video or playing games.
Pixillion Image Converter is from NCH Software.

Yup just look for a capture card or usb capture device. Real shame these don't exist, integrated, I would love to plug my pi, or my udoo into my laptop and use that as a temporary monitor. On the bright side, depending on the video connection and format, you could get a very cheap $15 dollar for RCA
