XBMC on Ubuntu

    Is it possible to install XBMC on ubunto, I've tried a lots of times and aways I get the same error, basicaly it tells thet I have an broken packge. If its possible to install, can somebody explain me how?

    As far as i know there's no compiled version of XBMC on Ubuntu (for UDOO). If someone managed to compile it please share!

    Hi,

    i managed to compile it some time ago. But i didnt compile it static linked so shareing is useless unless you have every single lib.
    In addition .. xbmc doesnt startup cauz the elsa sound emulation driver doesnt load successfully ..

    missing device /dev/mixer and some other problems causes xbmc to shutdown and terminate
