I had purchased a humidity sensor for my Udoo X86 Ultra but now I see that the cable is not compatible with the pin assignment of the 3 sockets mounted on the Udoo BOLT. Do you know if a compatible cable is on sale in the Udoo Shop? Grazie e cordiali saluti Stefano Colonna
I rephrase the question: from what I understand the three external connectors of Udoo Bolt V8 for the sensors are reserved only for the Grove then I would like to know if there is on Udoo Bolt V8 an I2C Brick connector compatible with the Snap-in UDOO Bricks in order to connect the I2C sensor without having to use the UDOO BOLT I / O Expansion Board described in https://www.udoo.org/docs-bolt/Arduino_Leonardo-compatible(ATmega32U4)/Pinout.html but which among other things I cannot find for sale in the Udoo Shop [italiano] Riformulo la domanda: da quanto ho capito i tre connettori esterni per i sensori della Udoo Bolt V8 sono riservati soltanto al Grove allora vorrei sapere se esiste su Udoo Bolt V8 un I2C Brick connector compatibile con il Snap-in UDOO Bricks in modo da connettere il sensore I2C senza dover usare la UDOO BOLT I/O Expansion Board descritta in https://www.udoo.org/docs-bolt/Arduino_Leonardo-compatible(ATmega32U4)/Pinout.html ma che tra l'altro non trovo in vendita in Udoo Shop
UDOO x86's CN24 (Bricks interface) is a 4-pin I2C connector arrangement; UDOO Bolt's CN28 (Grove interface) is also for I2C connection (Both are on Arduino side.) But you'll need a pin converter to change connector pitch and pinout, guess DIY is the best way. Alternatively, why not just get the I2C sensor that is already come with the Grove interface?
Can you browse thru home of the Grove to select: https://www.seeedstudio.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?cat=890,908&q=grove
Dear ccs_hello, do you think it is compatible with Udoo BOLT V8 ? https://www.seeedstudio.com/Grove-T...essure-and-Gas-Sensor-for-Arduino-BME680.html thanks for the link
I would think so (but you'll have to try). UDOO Bolt's Grove interface is supposed to work with all Grove based sensor boards. After all, they are all for Arduino boards and Bolt has one in it.
Dear ccs_hello, I found the seeestudio.com products for sale on Mouser.it I ask you if the cable should be buckled or unbuckled Thanks in advance Descrizione: Stumenti di sviluppo per sensori a funzioni multiple Grove - CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor (SCD30) https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail...GAEpiMZZMve4/bfQkoj%2BJoqoFqZJeF2RzMbmZzEWhk= Descrizione: Accessori Seeed Studio Grove - Universal 4 Pin Buckled 20cm Cable (5 PCs pack) https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail...=sGAEpiMZZMvxSQPygxWTpTF6csad0WNBtWZE7NXNUwg=
I am guessing the "buckled" type connector has the locking latch to make it harder to remove (pulling out) the cable. I think it's all up to you. Cable length probably is the first thing to consider...
Dear ccs_hello, If this is the only difference, there is no problem. I thought it was a different cable configuration that could affect compatibility with the SBC. Thank you very much. [italiano] Se la differenza è solo questa non c'è problema. Io credevo che si trattasse di una diversa configurazione dei cavi che potesse incidere sulla compatibilità con la SBC. Grazie molte.
Dearest ccs_hello, I purchased the Seeedstudio sensor Stumenti di sviluppo per sensori a funzioni multiple Grove - CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor (SCD30) https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail...GAEpiMZZMve4/bfQkoj%2BJoqoFqZJeF2RzMbmZzEWhk= through Mouser.it The delivery was very fast. I have chosen the 50 cm. buckled cable. https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail...=sGAEpiMZZMvxSQPygxWTpVCbDZDgPOC8ZKa4HtTajuA= I found a great wiki made by seeedstudio.com http://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-CO2_Temperature_Humidity_Sensor-SCD30/ which suggests taking the library and .ino sketches from github https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/Seeed_SCD30 I have installed the aforementioned library and sketches and after Code: ls -l /dev/ttyACM* I added the group to the username which in the case of Manjaro is not Code: dialout as in Debian but Code: uucp Code: sudo usermod -a -G uucp stecolumna I have rebooted Manjaro to take effect I have uploaded the sketch SCD30_auto_calibration.ino but the serial monitor is empty. Not sure, I am not an expert on Debian. I suspect it's still the ttyACM driver and permission issues. Suggest try Debian support there. E.g., https://forum.manjaro.org/t/arduino-serial-detection-issues/39345
