My UDOO should be here tomorrow. I'll be using my 32" LCD TV in the living room with it and plan to have a pretty long HDMI cable to make it comfortable to work with

I'll be using a 19 (maybe it was 17, don't remember, not at home to double check) 1080P LCD TV I picked up at Best Buy about a year ago for use with my RPi's. It was a $179 unit, but was on sale for $159 and I had like $30 in reward zone coupons to take that down further. Plus it has HDMI, Composite, and VGA inputs, so I could hook a couple different devices in. I'll be using it for my Udoo as well.

listing the parts, cables, etc. needed ?

I have tried 2 of my monitors with HDMI inputs. Both worked smoothly. On rebooting the Udoo correctly handles the different display resolutions. I do not see an issue here.

You should only need the monitor and an HDMI cable

Im personally using a 24" Viewsonic Monitor.
My PC is connected via DVI so i have the UDOO (or my Pi) into the second input via HDMI

I meant ask (refering to firehopper's flickr image)::
. what was the panel used - can any say 17.3" panel be used or
would a specific working model be recommended
. what display controller was used - can any be used or is there
a specific one that would be recommended

I realize using a regular HDMI monitor with the board would be trivial, but I wanted to know what he selected in terms of the display panel/controller/special-cables etc., to get it to work with the pi. Presumed they were salvaged from an old laptop or some such.

    thanks.

lets see, the lcd I had from a hp laptop that had the graphics chip die on the MB..
I got the lcd controller bits off ebay.. I just sent them a ebay message with the lcd part number and manuf, they said yes they have a cable for that. so I bought the kit and told them the lcd#'s again.. a few weeks later it shows up, plugged it in, and it just worked :)

    I just received my UDOO.
I'm tring to connect UDOO with my PICO Projector (Optoma PK 301)
flash the ubuntu linaro img on SD card, connect all the wires (the hdmi cable is connected to an hdmi-mini adaptor and plugged in my projector)
power the board to boot the system .... the projector shows that it is receiving input from HDMI .. hit the button to start receiving the HDMI input
but then .. i got a sad blue screen with "no HDMI support" in the lower right corner :(
    Please help ..
    Thanks!
