That did the trick - thanks! Downloaded VNC Viewer as well, which I like as it shows the full desktop vs. the clipped screen currently showing via hdmi (which I understand is a known issue). Now I need to tweak my WiFi setting(s) as it's not yet on my network.

I have same issues on OS X 10.11, no way to connect to device. I don't have LAN port, I don't have HDMI monitor and USB Keyboard so UDO NEO is a brick for user like me.

Some update on situation with USB and OS X 10.11 and UDOOBuntu v2 beta5:
    1. I found some information on this forum how guys connected UDOO NEO on 10.11 using HoRNDIS-rel8pre1.pkg driver. Even with it UDOO NEO network sometimes available and sometimes not. I can ping 192.168.7.2 and udooneo.local but can't connect using browser or ssh. I tried to telnet on port 80, 22 and 21 - nothing. I erased microSD and did setup from scratch, nothing changed. So I was thinking it's some driver error on 10.11.
    2. I found 10.9 on my other laptop, so installed all drivers from this site and after it UDOO NEO was connected. Again I was able to ping it on both 192.168.7.2 and udooneo.local. That's it. I still cannot connect to http, ssh or anything else.
So now I'm sure it's something related to UDOOBuntu v2b5 OS

I'm afraid that driver isn't stable too.

I had the same issues with Wifi not being listed on the web control panel, I also have a null list if I run
    Code:
    iw list
. I also can't seem to enable the Bluetooth.

I tried using the UDOO as PC, and tried the VNC from a Ubuntu 15.10.

I don't know if it is related, but I also could not check the values of the accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope from the web control panel, they remained null. To check them I had to run the scripts, setting the register values and reading the data through the i2cs.

i am still stuck on first configuration,
leaving behind trying it with windows, i am trying to turn it on on Ubuntu ....and it does not record the wifi, any wifi i select in the configuration page.

i am getting a little bit bored, any solutions?

moreover, why the iso is taking only 32 mb of the tota space of the SD without keeping it formatted for space use?

    Dear euJi,
    I didn't understand.
The image by default doesn't "leave unused space", it takes only the necessary space, and at first boot it expands the partition. Could you explain it better please?

regarding partitions, through gparted i was able to figure out that it takes 32mb to manage the booting system and the rest to manage udoobuntu. on windows the second info was not clear.

regarding the configuration i still cannot figure out how to make it work.

    I am able to:
turn it on, connect to 192.168.7.2. or udooneo.local but it seems not to record the info provided in "first configuration" that means a new possible fantasy name nor the wifi details.
To make it simplier i also erased any password on the wifi connection but it will never connect.

    what should i do?
moreover how do i turn on the udoobuntu while i am on ubuntu myself?

    Dear folks,
@euJi: I don't understand your last point. Do you want to connect via VNC on your Ubuntu laptop?
    @Vinz87: have you solved?

    And same for the gyroscope!

    Code:
    udooer@neo:~$ cat /sys/class/misc/FreescaleGyroscope/data
    -2,26,-2
