    Yes, checks OK. Tried both sources and 2 different SD cards. Next will try a different computer.

    Hello. I downloaded the image from the EU mirror. I wrote it to the SDcard, and my system (Quad) boots perfectly. I'll be testing a boot from SATA this AM.

    @sirrab @ottyphc
    can you exclude problems with your board? I mean, can your UDOO boot with other operating systems? How did you unpack the image? I guess you all followed the guide, did you?

    - udoo quad
    - 8gig SD cards
    - sha-1 on zip is correct
    - loaded image for "UDOObuntu 2 RC1 for UDOO QUAD/DUAL" on 2 SD cards -> NO BOOT!
    - loaded image for 12.04 (dec 2015) on same SD cards -> GOOD BOOT!
    - tried several attemps.
    - Hardware is an early production quad udoo.

    My Quad booted and worked with other versions of OS's. The last 2 betas do not work for me. I used the command sudo dd bs=1M if=***.img of=/dev/sde. It would be nice if you tell everyone which versions of instructions one should use. Just recently I found out, anything from elinux web site is not to be used.

    Nothing on 7" LVDS display on Udoo Quad. I think the problem is the backlight at least because display stays black.

    With the image from sourceforge I could boot without any problem.
    I have tried with 2 different SDcards and it worked perfectly with both.

    Hi slimsamu,
    Was you able to boot from Sata? I spent a several time in the last weekend but I could get only a lot of kernel panic...
    Thank you

    No luck - and I now see SATA booting is not supported in RC1 yet...For me it's a bit of a showstopper, but I'll work around it for now.
