    Hi All,

I am looking at the Android source code ( Android 4.3 Sources v2.0) but I can't seem to find the source code for the camera Autofocus control. I have built the code and flashed in order to try it and the camera does not seem change focus (Focus position is always infinity).

Is there something I am missing? Can someone tell me how to activate the Autofocus on Android?

    Thanks!

The camera documentation here: http://udoo.org/download/files/datasheets/datasheet_camera5mp.pdf does indeed state:

A look here https://duckduckgo.com/?q=vcm+focus+driver may provide a clue.

The driver for the camera does not support anything over 30 fps, any plans on actually adding VGA (320x480) @120fps, VGA (640x480) @90fps, 720p @60fps, 1280x960 @45fps?

Does the UDOO camera module contain a focusing lens and lens driver? If so, is it driven directly by the OV5640?

I have obtained a camera card and examined it. It is indeed a fully self contained AF camera. The focusing element is embedded in the camera housing and lens assembly and is driven directly by the OV5640 sensor. The camera module comes from KaiLap Technologies of China and the board is manufactured by SECO (Udoo's Mfg).

As I've written somewhere else in the forum the problem lies in the software side. The hardware actually can support the feature but there's no implemented software to allows it. Anyway we're modifying the docs accordingly, so to avoid misunderstandings.
