    Hi,

I am planning to use my Udoo Quad to watch movies from Amazon Prime. Now I"m wondering whether this is possible and what could be the best way to get there.

One way that I'm thinking of is to use the Android image and install the Google tools. This should allow me to download the Amazon Prime app from the Play Store. However, the whole procedure seems to be a bit cumbersome.

Another option would be to install Linux and watch the movies via the browser but I'm not sure whether the required browser plugins are available.

Has anyone ever tried to watch Amazon Prime movies via the Udoo board?

    Cheers,
    Sven

Actually the Udoo quad is powerful enough for 1080p videos as long as the GPU handles it. If you run android some media players have hardware acceleration and it may work. The amazon variant runs android, uses a quad core 64 bit (2 different dual core ARM), has 100Mb/s ethernet but relies on hardware acceleration for 4k display.
