Udoo Quad camera fails to boot on Android

Hi all,


I have an issue with the udoo quad camera, it does not always initialize with android, and when I try to open the android camera app it says camera no found. The only solution is rebooting the board few times until android finds the camera.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? and is there any way around this, I’m building an app that requires that the the camera is always working.

Any help on this is very appreciated.

which Android are you using?

 

Thank you Andrea for replaying, I'm using android 4.4.2 kitkat, it seems that the camera not always connect when Android start. I have 3 new UDOO boards and cameras (I'm using the same SD card) and all of them has the same issue what it makes me think is a sofware issue, is this a known problem? if not I may need to download the whole OS and start fresh to see if this improves...

 

Then download Android 6 for UDOO QUAD. The camera doesn't work yet but yesterday @Antonio Gisondi got some good results with the camera, so odds are you'll get the camera working on Android 6 before than on 4.4.2
Apart from this, the camera doesn't work on 4.4.2 speaking of Quad/Dual
