Combing the M4 with the on board CAN interfaces opens up a number of possibilies of using the NEO for automotive solutions. I'm going to demonstrate in a series of videos, how we can exploit the capabilities of the NEO to control an instrument cluster.

Part 3 - In the third video we demonstrate how we can mimic some of the instrument cluster gauges with on screen equivalents. While at the same time controlling the actual instrument cluster via the M4 and keeping the two in sync. This also demonstrates that the GPU can render efficiently if programmed correctly. Blog post here .

Part 2 - In the second video we demonstrate we can extend controlling of the cluster from the A9 though the M4. Blog post describing how this works.

Part 1 - The first video demonstrates how the M4 can be used to drive the instrument cluster. There's a short blog post providing a brief description of the setup.

Updated the original post with the parts 2 and 3. Hopefully this demonstrates some of the capabilities of the i.mx6sx if programmed well ;).
