So I received my new x86 board. I'm happy and all, and when I start going through the installation process of an OS ( Windows 10 in my case ) I remember just how DIY-unfriendly everything UDOO really is.

Ok I don't want to be a complainer, so let's get to business... I now have had the board sitting for 15 minutes with the Insyde H20 Flash Firmware Tool. I don't think this is normal, it should have completed the BIOS update by now, WTF.

Just to add why I knew this ( also this... ) would have gone wrong: right before the red box with the text "Please do not remove the AC power", I read a DOS line ( yes, I have run the updater from the DOS, since I need to update to be able to install the friggin OS ):

Error: Allocate Physical Memory failer. ( buffer2 )

Now the only live thing I see is the flashing underline at the bottom left corner of the screen. Nothing else has happened.

What the hell am I supposed to do now?

p.s. sorry for the attitude but I am really frustrated at UDOO, I have purchased all their boards, and each and every time it has been a nightmare to get them ( sort of ) working.

OK I powered it off, it booted again, and BIOS has remained 1.01.
There is clearly something wrong with the board.

Will try installing Windows 10 from USB instead of SD ( thanks for misleading and making me waste 6 hours trying to get Windows on the SD card..... )

Windows 10 installed from a USB stick. Is now running. I am performing some tests, then will try to update the BIOS from Windows.

Remember that you need to do it from a CMD that was Run as Admin..

Did the DOS problem from bios 1.01 get fixed?
    I have:
Error: Allocate Physical Memory failer. (buffer2)
    Using:
    FreeDOS
Is there a bootable BIOS flash file available?
(Im currently running FreeELEC with kodi but need to upgrade the bios on my 2x boards.
