    Hello guys,

Does your UDOO board run hot with Ubuntu , My fan turns on every 2 - 3 minutes .

My BIOS is set to run fan on 65 Degree , i know i can increase it , however 65 degree seems a very reasonable temperature to trigger the fan.

    Let me know your experience.

    Thanks!

I would like to add that the same thing does not happen with Windows.

My Advanced running Debian Stretch idles around 37-40c. Using stock heat sink with no fan or air flow. Located in my basement with 18-20c ambient.

I've got an advanced running Ubuntu Mate 24/7, running a desktop application, server/seedbox. Mine is set to turn on the fan at 55C, and it rarely gets that hot. Ambient temperature as high as 25.0C The device is slow to respond running MATE, it feels similar to remoting in, but still doesn't reach 55C.
Running Lubuntu was smoother for me, you may want to try a few different distros of linux
