Thank you for backing the UDOO BOLT crowdfunding campaign, and for offering to help moderate the forum.
We do not have community moderators at the moment, as it is not easily achievable with this forum. I'm looking into alternative forum options :)

I was indeed wondering why the forum became so full of spammers offering hair transplants and this kind of stuff... Such a shame, this forum was such a nice source of knowledge for udo users.

I'm using https://www.stopforumspam.com/ to avoid spam.
Currently this + a captcha is the only protection in our forum.
If a user is detected during registration as a spammer, the account got deactivated or deleted (you can configure this).
Well known forum software is supported. I you've written your own forum software, I guess not, you're on your own.

Ciao am, thank you for the suggestion! We're currently using https://www.stopforumspam.com/ but it wasn't enough.

We added another layer of protection: all posts on the forum have to go through moderator approval before they are visible. This allows me to kill the spam before you guys see it.
But what about real users? I created a new group called UDOOer, that allows the members to post freely.

I've found this way to handle things quite effective. Let me know if you think of any more improvements we could implement.

You just became one. I need to observe your posts and make sure you're not a bot/want to sell pills/are not a spammer
