    Hi guys!!!!
I'm really happy to announce that my last project Volumio is finally out!

Volumio is a free and open source Audiophile Music Player system. Just flash an SD like you would with every Udoo's distribution and your loved board will become your favourite music player!

Volumio is designed to run as an headless player, so you just connect to your network (via network or wi-fi) and use your smartphone, tablet or Pc to control and configure it. Sitting on your sofa.

It can play WebRadios, Mp3s, Wav, Flac, AAC, ALAC and much more, all with the highest quality possible. I must say that the results with the onboard audio jack of Udoo are really good!!! It can also act as an airplay receiver, so you can just stream your audio from your Mac, PC or Smartphone. Easily and in no time.

Then, thanks to a custom made Android application you can configure several Udoo's to play your Music simoultaneously, to achieve multiroom sound!!!

    But there's more:

-Ready to play: flash it and you're ready
    -Audiophile Quality: bit perfect playback
-FLAC, WAV, MP3, AAC, ALAC, PLS support
-Music libraries on Samba, NFS and USB drives
-Webradios support out of the box
-Control it via integrated Webui with PC, Smartphone, Tablet
    -Airplay capability
    -Ramplay Support
    -DSD Native Playback
    -Multiroom Playback via Android App
    -Output playback device Selection
-Audio out via HDMI, USB, Analog Jack, S/PDIF, I2S (depends on platform)
-Compatible with all UAC2 compliant USB DACs
    -Wireless Network configuration
-Various resampling options, up to 32bit/384khrtz

You can grab it at http://volumio.org

I'm really happy to share my project with Udoo's amazing community!

    Fantastic work Mike.

Shame you're site doesn't have some screenshots of the webui. I won't get a chance to try this for several weeks but it does sounds sweet.

I do have to slap you for some of your colour choices of the site. Dark grey on grey text (download page) etc, in fact quite a lot of the 'emphasis' text is a darker shade of the background colour it sits on... Contrast man! Contrast! ;-)

This is awesome! Thank you so much!

Just one question...is there any chance of Volumio ever being installed within linux as a package along with other packages instead of it having its own OS?

No, since there are system-wide optimizations to achieve the best sound quality possible... Having as a package will result in less variables that can be controlled...

    Makes sense...

I will simply buy another Udoo one of these days to have my dedicated music streamer running your software :)
