We purchased an Udoo Bolt V3 at Christmas, and have since upgraded the hardrive to the "MTS600 529GB". We installed Windows 10, and several Adobe Products.

My son is using the computer for pretty intensive stuff (Adobe Premiere video editing, watching movie clips, etc). He loves it, but the unit keeps crashing (crashed three times yesterday).

Can someone please point me to the most likely cause? I've been reading in the threads, and so far it sounds like it could be either an Overheating or Power Cable issue? We're only intermediate users, so any tips on most likely cause would be most appreciated :)

I bought it with a "kit" promo, and it looks like the SKU is YS50-1903150 (USA Power Cable).

    ----

Here's the full list of what was included in the original kit...

    - UDOO BOLT V3

    - SKU: SC40-1000-0000-C0
    UDOO BOLT METAL CASE

    - SKU: ENCLOSURE_BOLT
    19V 65W AC POWER ADAPTER

    - SKU: YS50-1903150
    USA POWER CABLE

    - SKU: CV-AL023-PK
    4GB SO-DIMM DDR4 2400MHZ

    - SKU: KIT-SODIMM-1X4GB/01
    KIT M.2 WIFI/BT

    - SKU: KIT-WIFI-UDOOx86

    ----

I later added the following upgrades...

    - M.2 SSD TRANSCEND MTS600 512GB

    - SKU: TS512GMTS600-PK
    USB-C HUB

    ----

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My Bolt was unstable 9n Windows until I disabled the eMMC drive in Windows Device Manager. Ironically it seemed to be more likely to crash if I had not used the system for a short while. Since disabling the eMMC\ drive I have not had a single crash.

Please check your power supply to see if it matches the picture I attached (19V 3.15A), it has a green power LED indicator. Also note if the DC power cable looks like the style as pictured.

Checked the Power supply, and it appears to be a match to the photo (also has a green power LED indicator). Thanks for checking!

This seems to very likely be the fix! (will now after a bit more testing, but so far so good :)

Disabling the eMMC drive took a while to figure out, but I *think* I was able to make it happen. Thank you so much for the tip!!!
