Snap7 - Siemens S7 PLC

    Hi Jim,
    To tell the truth it is ready ;)

    I just rebuilt the my open-source project http://snap7.sourceforge.net for UDOO.

    I'ts a multi architecture (32/64 bit) multi platform communication suite for Siemens S7 PLCs.
    I named UDOO "monster" because the transaction times are wonderful.

    The library contains also a server i.e. a CP (communication Processor) emulator.
    If someone is planning to build a small PLC using UDOO (and it's possible with this hardware ;) ) Every HMI/scada system will see it as an original Siemens CPU.

    I'm very Happy of UDOO and I'm available for any kind of support ...

    Hi,

    I would like to write a program which can "force" an input. I could set/RST an output but unfortunately with input i can do it.
    I have been trying on so mayn ways but did not work.

    Could someone help me with a simple code? pls.

    Snap7 is an open source, 32/64 bit, multi-platform Ethernet communication suite for interfacing natively with Siemens S7 PLCs. Python-snap7 is developer for snap7 1.1. 0 and Python 3.7+. It is tested on Windows (10 64 bit), OSX 10.15 and Linux, but it may work on other operating systems.

Snap7 is available in both Linux and Windows operating systems. Python-snap7 is the developer for Python 3.7+ and snap7 1.1.0. Although it has only been tested on Windows (10 64 bit), Linux, and OS X 10.15, it is possible that it will function properly on other operating systems.
