I was just looking at the spec sheet in the Preorders area and it lists a different GPU set on the Quad vs the Dual version.

Is there some sort of performance difference (ie, does the quad come with a more powerful GPU?) or is this simply a different part that provides the SATA interface.

Just wondering if this is going to cause potential fracturing of code-bases (ie, this will run fine on a quad but not on a dual, etc.)

    Specifically, the Dual shows:
    Vivante GC 880 + Vivante GC 320

    The Quad:
    Vivante GC 2000 + Vivante GC 355 + Vivante GC 320

(Also wondering why there are 3 on the quad instead of 2...)

The Dual board uses the Lite version of the processor, that's why. There's a dual version of the quad processor available as well, but it was too expensive for the price point the developers aimed for for the cheap version of the board.

The 3rd component on Quad is Vivante GC 355, which is an OpenVG accelerator (read: 2D vector graphics, where Dual only has 2D raster acceleration).
