Did you look in the Neo bom ( bill of material) that you can download on the resources page what article the connector is?

By the way, the pinout of the j10 sensor you can find in the schematics file that you can also download from the resources website.
Grove is 4 pins, Brick j10 is 5 pins so mechanically it won't fit.

Is there a zip or tar file in /Arduino15/staging/packages and does it contain data, can you open it manually? Perhaps you have a download problem.
Did you delete this folder on your mac? /Users/<user_name>/Library/Arduino15/ Or is this that "staging" folder you mentioned?
