I have some of the things I need on order to build a 3d printer with my udoo. I'm going with a kossel mini type delta printer, the printed plastic parts are paid for, the openbeam frame members are also ordered and paid for, the ramps-fd (due compatable 3d printer shield) is paid and shipped, 3 stepstick stepper motor drivers are ordered. need one more of those later. and 3 cheap stepper motors for testing are paid for and shipped.. need to order 1 more stepstick driver, 1 hotend. (j type from hotends.com) 3 standard nema 17 type stepper motors, and 1 nema 17 with gearbox for the extruder. 9 v roller type bearings for the carriages 6 diagonal rods for the effector that carries the hotend. 4 microswitches, and that might be it.. software, I'm going to try Repeltier-firmware (the development branch) because it supports ramps-fd and arduino due, and a delta type printer. for the i.mx6 side, I'm going with repelier host, since it seems to work on the udoo, has a slic3r included. havent messed around with it yet.. but it did compile and install.. the firmware compiled in the Arduino ide and uploaded with out errors.. I did a quick test, and the repetier firmware connects to repetier host. so its a start.. once I have the shield and motors I can see if it responds.
