While attending the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, I met Ray Iandoli, President of Akot International: https://www.eyefly3d.com/. Ray was displaying a plastic film, that when applied to the screen of a smartphone or tablet, enables it to display glasses-free 3D viewing. Ray and I were discussing the enabling potential of his high-tech product with nano-lenses etched into its surface to bring the experience of true 3D video viewing to the mass market, all without the need for a viewer to ware glasses or any other hardware. The 3D experience was remarkably good. Ray mentioned that he has an app to convert 2D content to 3D display too https://www.eyefly3d.com/features#3D_content_easy, but I didn't see it at that time. I'll contact him to see if his product is, or can be developed to be, compatible with the new displays for Udoo. It looks like he's moving in that direction: http://eyewatch3d.com/preorder/#
