5 volt tolerance

    Hello,
    Does M4 core is 5 volt tolerant on gpio pins?

    I want to connect a HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor. It is 3.3 volt tolerant on trigger pin but i don't know if I can simply connect the output pin to the board without damaging the board itself.

    Hello John,
    this is the same trick I used on banana pi.
    My disappointment is that an Arduino Uno shield could have 5 volt signals. I thought that there were logic-level translators on each M4 pin to accomplish that.

    Dear Flavio,
    there's no logic-level translator as you say.
    In input you have to use a voltage divider. Take a look at this page.
