I've noticed that the RTC is not available using the hwclock command at all inside of linux.

This is the same on my udoo x86 ultra board and udoo x86 basic.

The command fails and there is no rtc device located in the /dev tree at all.

I did notice that the system time is updated during boot (read the dmesg) from the CMOS time, which is stored and saved. However, even using timedatectl there is no RTC time listed.

From my understanding the udoo x86 does have a RTC is there a way to access it from the OS?

I didn't actually, thanks for that.

I'm running Arch linux on it right now, kernel 4.15

Sounds like it may be something with the kernel from the post, is anyone running anything newer than 4.10? I'm curious exactly what with the kernel caused the problem.
