how to change the resolution of HDMI interface output, android 4.4 modify the u-boot env, but i can't find the information in the 6.0.1 version, thanks.
Hi guys, is the LVDS 7" working on this Android 6.0.1?. (I'm using Beta2) every time that i try configure it (using this code) by the serial start rebooting and rebooting please see attachment. I'm missing any thing or this part isn't ready yet?. Thank you.
Hi there @Marino Arias, yes it works, the problem is that you are using the old documentation on elinux which is outdated. The documentation that you need to follow is this one: http://www.udoo.org/docs/Hardware_&_Accessories/UDOO_LVDS_Panels.html You can also find the very same documentation on GitHub and on this website: if you go with the mouse in hover on "Resources" a drop-down menu will open with the links for the documentation. Anyway, you've just made me realize that I need to write on top of the elinux documentation that is outdated So, my fault!
Hi Andrea, thank you for your replay, im getting the below after i set the LVDS7 code, and after i reboot the udoo it keeps just on a loop. 4.318152] init: init second stage started! So finally I had some time to upgrade to Android 6 Beta 3. First, I also got stuck in the reboot loop (POR reset). The por reset only happened after I tried configuring the LVDS with the outdated method. I re-flashed the card and changed the video output by changing the txt file to from hdmi to lvds7. pretty sure that's why it won't work on yours. Seems to run without any issues right now. Is there any news on improved bluetooth compatibility? As I need a bluetooth control knob to control volume for my application, and that didn't work on KitKat. Bluetooth itself seems to work, at least I can see devices.
Awesome guys, I just saw the pre installed A2DP app I was posting about in another thread. Do you have a guide how to set it up to stream music from iOS to Udoo?
Few things that didn't work: Time didn't adjust to my location (somehow got stuck on UTC0) Display brightness is not adjustable GPS Dongle is not working somehow can't access the upper left corner of the LVDS7 (where the return arrow in the settings menu is) I think that is pretty much all I found in the first ~30min of playing with it. good job guys!!
Hi all. Objectr thank you for your replay. I have the udoo Quad now working with the Android beta 3. thank you UDOO team for the hard work The way i did to manage working is pretty simple: with a HDMI cable and keyboard connected i booted udoo, then on Android I went settings > General > Select Video output : lvds7 One big improvement is the camera it seems to work every time and very reliable compared with the previous version. I have to do more test but so far Very good WELL DONE.
I started using the beta4 on my Udoo Quad. Thanks for your great work. Some questions: There are apps that forces the portrait display orientation. Do you think it would be possible to manage that the portrait display orientation is displayed without a rotation. So, with a black border at the left and the right side. Do you understand what I mean? The performance stucks sometime (also if performance governor is used). Do you think this could be further improved? At the moment I not started tests if it is related to CPU, IO, GPU, ... I realized hangs on video streams and also on normal usage (click through all the settings) hangs. If there is a new beta or release, is the update via system settings supported? Again, thanks all your effort.
This has been "solved" by using the app "Rotation Control", set landscape mode and enable the "Guard" mode ("this application prevents the other application from changing screen orientation").
Looking forward to the next version (beta 5?), please see if its possible to include the TUN module. Will help with VPN. Otherwise everything works great, thank you for the development.
