Having made quite a few changes to UBoot on my boot Sd, I would like to make a usable backup of it. Can anyone tell me how to do it please?

The only way I found to backup uboot was printenv and work out how to put them back the same way.

I made a set of rules how to do it , which I think is something like .. remove the first = and add setenv , and put the rest in a' '

Why not use DD to create an image that partition?

Looks like DD is the way to go. I'm a bit busy over this weekend, but I'll give it a try early next week.

    Thanks for the help!!

or win32diskimage tool on windows, i always make copies of my whole SD card before major changes/updates and after i get a good setup. I save them as my gold images.
i started the back when i only had 1 raspi but 3 or 4 differt things i wanted to do. i would setup an SD card image for each 'role'. but now i haev half a dozen Pi's so i just leave the SD cards in them. But with the price of the UDOOs i cant have more than my 2 so i go back to my uSD card image method, works great.
