I'd consider The board worked great up until today. I had been powering it with USB C PD. I went to power it on and the light remained yellow (Arduino light was flashing) and a high pitched whine alternates its tone with the blinking of the Arduino LED. I tried switching to a 90w laptop power supply using the DC input jack but it behaved the same way. I looked at it with thermal and it U19 which is labeled "5C = 6B D6V" was cooking at 100C. (this chip is by the Arduino LED and the CPU) The CPU also gets quite warm if you leave it on for a bit. (I took this opportunity to re-paste the CPU and the only paste was rock hard.) An interesting thing to note is that there's an identical chip by the power and ethernet jacks. It doesn't get warm at all. myself an advanced hobbyist when it comes to electronics. I've reflowed boards, replaced surface-mount chips, etc. But my troubleshooting skills are average. I'd like to know if I can get schematics or board layouts, or at least some good advice. I'm kind of fond of this computer so I'd like to see it up and running again.
I forgot to state the obvious -- if someone can identify the chip in question, it might help me troubleshoot. Thanks
