There are three levels of viewpoints:

    1. Android supports of (various) cameras: need specific driver other than the more common UVC camera:
This has been historically weak (other than UVC cam)

    2. AOSP as the offshoot to support Android on x86/AMD64 platform
Being no longer officially support by Google/Android, OS level support and ad-hoc driver support will be limited.
Check with these three development communities (what's mentioned in this doc https://www.udoo.org/docs-x86/Operating_Systems/Android.html ) directly.

    3. State of Android on X86 platform
    See https://android.stackexchange.com/q...e-of-android-devices-runs-on-x86-architecture

(hint: read in between the lines)
