Hello, I´m Marc from Hannover in Northern Germany. Yesterday I got my quad and started with Ubuntu. It works fine. I´m a Linux beginner (and not an IT-Expert) but I want to learn it with this board. Otherwise I´ve got an Android Smartphone too and I like to experience a little bit with Android on this quad board. Perhaps in future I´ll try to use the capabilities of the ardunio part. Hi I'm Phil from northern NJ. I have posted before, and wanted to report I received my UDOO quad today. Came within a month. I know Ive registered, but had to do it again....Somehow I got lost.... Anyway off to get the necessary files etc and get the SD card formatted and loaded with Linux. I have several ideas for model railroad controlling and also radio listening VLF-HF ..... two separate application ideas. Linux to run software applications and arduino to control devices. Nice to be here...
Hi UDOO community, My name is Angelo Boeti. I started my working life as a sewing machine mechanic, which led to automated sewing machines. This led me into other automated equipment such as repairing automated book sorting machines for libraries and other automated equipment. I am currently self employed as a repair technician and a custom machine builder. I intend to use the UDOO Quad as the driver for most of the machines that I build from now on.

Hi Davide Nice to hear! Plenty of power for sure. Are you planning on using it professionally (industrial automation) too or just for personal tinkering? I know you guys probably like to stick to MOD Bus but I believe it's quite easy to hook up to that anyway (it's Serial at heart... RS485 ought to be pretty simple too). Let us know!
Hi All, As my nick says my name is Rene van der Lende and I'm living in Netherlands. For some 20 years I have been a software designer/developer and ended my ITC-career as a senior software engineer. Over the past 10 years I have become a pro photographer and make-up artist (how's that for a career change?). Still, I have never lost my affinitity for software development and currently (the last 6 months or so) I have become fairly active with Android development. I know a lot about software which has been developed for the Windows platform over the years, while database design has become my second nature. All software, all Windows, so I am an electronics and Linux NOOB^2. Then why the heck UDOO? First of all, I have become extremely curious about the nifty little/big things people have accomplished with Arduino, you can often find me reading Instructables.com. I have no Arduino or compatible boards, as a NOOB I have little use for it, but a micro PC like Raspberry Pi and, since a few days, UDOO are much more interesting to me to tinker with in an area I am best at: software development. Greetings, I'm Elliott, I am a software and hardware developer and modder based out of Ohio in the great country of the United States of America. (Let the hate begin.) I do a lot of modifications to preexisting systems (I built a parts-tracking system for a Plastic Injection Molding Factory, in fact.). I do a fair bit of software engineering as well. (I am currently working on a video game in Unity, and I seem to have found a few very talented people to join my cause.) I work as an IT Technician for a local University, as well as providing IT services to my community. I'm generally a nice guy, as well as a very talented problem solver. I have studied both software engineering and electronics engineer (and in fact learned a great deal from my father, who was an ECM technician for the United States Air Force for 24 years, and heavily trained in electronics and computer hardware.). I do a lot of freelance, pro-bono work for various people, as I am not interested in the money but instead the advancement in the knowledge and capabilities people have.
