Dear cypher, sorry I didn't mean to be rude. I thought that the cable was available on December 4 and then became newly unavailable on December 8. I just contacted our warehouse for answers since the cable is still unavailable

The cable should be available today - as a matter of minutes/hours at worst

    Hi,

I own a 15'' lvds (from the UDOO store) i use it with my UDOO quad. How can I connect it to UDOO neo (full) ?
Is there a schema i can follow to make the wiring (diy) ?
One more question I guess there are boards I can connect to the UDOO 15'' lvds to add hdmi/vga connectivity ...
.. can you point me to a product I can use to "extend" my lvdsconnectivity ?

    Thanks!

Dear epifanio, no you cannot connect a UDOO NEO to the 15" LVDS screen that is in our shop. That screen is meant to be attached to UDOO QUAD. I don't know other single board computers that are compatible with that screen.

I'm realizing a infopoint/totem and I'd like to use your Innolux N156BGE-L11 LCD, do you think it's a problem to leave it always on? What's its lifespan? Thx

    Dear Fabio,
we don't have tests so what I'll say would be just a speculation. I'm sorry. I can ensure anyway that UDOO has been already used in commercial applications - there's some stuff you can find on Google, I also made a post about it last year - so it should be ok. For our use in the office it hasn't ever had a problem. Anyway I invite the other users to express their concerns eventually - it would be better, also in order to share problems.
P.S.: Quad or Dual I assume, since UDOO NEO doesn't work with that screen - just to warn you.

In order the NEO 7" LVDS screen to be compatible with the QUAD you just need to change the cable isn't it? you don't have to change the whole screen...

You actually have to change the screen. Meaning that you have to take a look at our shop; on the page of each available UDOO screen is written if it's compatible with NEO, DUAL or QUAD.

I have just asked the technical support what should I do and their answer was:

Only a new cable. You can find it here: http://shop.udoo.org/eu/accessories/lvds-cable-for-7-for-quad-dual.html

I was working with udoo neo and I will buy the quad that's why I'm asking

Even if I go to the shop to look for the screen both the LVDS7s are the same screen, even their datasheet are the same: UMSH-8596MD-20T

    Hello everybody,
a few days ago i have bought a 15,6 touch screen kit for a project.
Everything seems ok but i can't manage to rotate the screen in portrait mode.

I have tried to do it via xrandr but the screen is glitching with color bands covering all the area.
I have also tried to mod the fb0 rotate file but i have only managed to rotate the screen 180 degrees.
Last try: i have opened a ticket on udoo shop but the operator suggested to ask for help to the community. There are other guys in the forum trying to operate in portrait mode but the posts are old and without solutions.

    Any hints?

    Hello,
I am planning to connect a Kyocera LVDS screen. My concern is about the devicetree configuration and other implications arising from this specific screen that differs from the UDOO 15":
UDOO screen is 5 LVDS lines (RX0, RX1, RX2, RX3, RXCLK) whereas Kyocera is 4 lines (RA, RB, RC, RCLK)
UDO is RGB24 whereas Kyocera is RGB666
UDOO has only DE bit but no HD/VD bits whereas Kyocera has both
Also data rates are different (resolution is VGA on Kyocera)
    Thanks.
    Marc

Hi @Marc Rechté, welcome in the forum!
The UDOO Team doesn't support screens other than the official UDOO screens that you can find in our shop. Of course this doesn't keep you and the community from supporting other stuff, even in "crowdworking" (don't know if this word exists, but I guess you get what I mean) here in the forum, but I suggest you to open a new topic, this seems a bit OT to me.

How do you mount the 7" UDOO screens?
There are no mounting holes on the screen.

    Any suggestions?

How was this designed to be mounted?

    Thanks.
