Here is first test image for using with 7" touchscreen. Feedback welcome. https://drive.google.com/folderview...wd3F2R19oMGdEYl9ELUc1UlBZVnc&usp=sharing#list It takes some time before Kodi starts because it looks for sound output. Because there is no HDMI and no analog it searches and searches ... But analog output will be available soon. EDIT: Also I just found out that I have 15" LVDS screen which supports touch. And I also have short cable for USB which I though I'm missing. So support for it will be available soon too.
I'm sorry Peter, but my screen stays dark. Tried yesterday evening, the backlight lights up, but thats it. Tried this morning, same. at start up, the screen twinkles a few times, and rest in darkness. I just tried this one OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0-devel-20150610185923-r20978-g0e4d23f-udoo_quad-touch7v1.img Grtz Ivan
This image is only for 7" display atm. ivan, I think you have 15" display right? I will start working on this display today.
My initial attempt was one week back. But I'm way off with this. Seems my knowledge with this display is not as good than I though. I see Kodi screen but when I select something to play I see only black screen. Current ETA is unknown.
Now why doesn't that surprise me that? I think I was patient enough. I will pack the whole package in, and send it where it belongs, Italy!
Dear Ivan, vpeter works voluntarily on this and it's not part of the UDOO Team, thus he doesn't deserve your resentment, don't you agree?
You too - to keep feeding me infos about touchscreens Btw: I have Kodi Isengard patch working if you want to inform original author.
ivan, if you still have the device you can try my latest image OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0-devel-20150618-r20978-g0e4d23f-udoo_quad-lvds15_v1.img.gz https://drive.google.com/folderview...USGFPOG9OWHFYOHp2aHJ3Y2NpdEE&usp=sharing#list As you can see from the name it is for 15.6" LVDs display. It also have analog output active. Happy OpenELEC'ing
Peter, I offer you my apologies for my inappropriate remarks. The main reason is that I put a lot of hope in a xbmc / OpenELEC system with a large screen. On Monday I will be operated on. I had hoped it to take to the ziekenhuis.Muziek is important to me.
Sorry to declare, but neither of the images are working. The Filename.tar gives me a black screen. Not even the mouselaser is working. The green powerled is working. The FileName.img opens until the first screen, where I have to push "next" buttom. It stays on this screen. Detail, I ussely work with wireless mouse and keyboard, neither are working. Tested with a working image, the board is not broken. Greetz. Ivan
The you are just out of luck. Update: just downloaded same image again and tested. Works on my Udoo with 15" LVDS touch.
Story of my life.... I don't hav a touch screen. Could that be cause? When I write the tar file to the SD chip, it's done in a fraction of seconds. The img file takes a little longer. That in comparrision of let's say lubuntu.....
Tar file is just for updating. Img file is to create an SD card. And seems we have the reason why there is no official OpenELEC for lot od other systems: because user base is to small. I can't thoroughly test every image I build. I do have other things to do in my life and I'm doing this in my free time.
