I'm trying to use a ICOM 7100 ham radio with USB serial and audio on a Quad UDOO. But I'm rather disappointed in the UDOO Quad software ubuntu 1204. I installed Ubuntu 1204 and did not see the cp210x.ko file in the /lib/modules/3.0.35/kernel/driver/usb/serial directory as I expected. The (dare I say) raspberry pi supports these two out of the box.

I spent hours trying to compile the cp210x.c file and get the correct vermagic string and yet ins mod fails with -1 invalid module format, which I don't know what that means.

The PCM2091 audio from a VID PID 2901:08BB Burrbrown /Ti Codec says bandwidth exceeded when I type dmsg.

Can someone help me get the audio and cp210x.ko file working on my ubuntu 1204 version????
Thanks in advance… Also what is with the audio problem???
