I have installed VLC on my UDOO under Ubuntu 12.04. When I try to run a video it crashes with the following:

[0x3d317028] xcb_xv vout display error: no available XVideo adaptor
    Segmentation fault

I am also having trouble trying to run videos using either Chrome or Firefox browsers. Says I need Adobe plugin which I can't find that will install on UDOO.

I would also like to install XBMC. on Ubuntu. Does anyone have this running under Ubuntu?
Does anyone else experience this? Anybody have the video working well?

Seg Faults are typical for hardware acceleration and/or armhf (hard float architecture) issues.

Suggest you try viewtopic.php?f=19&t=251 (the bottom option, Soft Float with LXDE and graphical hardware acceleration).
