Where can I buy a replacement coin battery for my UDOO x86 plus?
My cat ate it :-(
RTC batteries can be found at several computer webshops, search for the correct specs as listed in the user manual:
Is the cat ok? Can a battery survive in a stomach long enough to do no harm?
I haven't checked the European Directive whether having the cat eat the battery is an approved method of disposal.
Thank you Maurice, that helped.
I searched google for "cabled CR-2032-LD" and found this page:
But batterybob wants a small fortune for a single battery...
I then picked one of the many compatible part numbers listed on batterybob's page (02K6572), searched it on eBay, and found this:
This "looks" like the same thing to me.
The cat is fine, the battery is not
It is just a standard cr2032 button cell battery that you can buy on every corner of the street for cheap. Here in Holland even in supermarkets,
Umm, no you are ignoring the fact that it is attached via a cable
You could wait for the return of the cable I believe Udoo has its own RTC battery holder for their other boards, perhaps it will fit too on the Udoo X86.
Did you search for "laptop cmos 2 pin" ?
waltervl, I don't think that's possible... I just ordered the replacement cabled battery I found on eBay. Should work great.
I almost sure to have already seen a link to rtc cabled batteries somewhere on this forum, but i cant remember where If its a normal cat, it just should just chew a few time the batterie (or the cable) until it doesnt work anymore, then release it, with a feeling of accomplished duty.
Original reason for my 3d printed case is: I saw this "looking funny for cats" battery too
