Spin a sneaker

    Hi, looking for ideas on how to spin a sneaker around in a circle about 1" off the floor. Original idea, connect sneaker to a metal rod. Insert metal rod into an electric drill. Mount drill to a steady box, set speed and plug it in.

    Simple idea. Anything better...I am sure there is. :)

    Instead of a drill you could use a small 5-12V DC (stepper) motor.
