So, I've been waiting fairly patiently since early July for a v8, with no updates or any recent responses to earlier posts on this subject. The most recent (over a month old, now) post on kickstarter seemed to say production was ramping up, but no deliveries seem to be happening. What's going on? I can't wait forever.
Did you mean you are waiting for a Kickstarter pledge to be delivered? For those then looking at the posted messages on Kickstarter it looks like the last of those (the ones based on the 32GB kit) are, or have already, been sent out.
