Ubuntu 16.04 for UDOO Quad/Dual

Please note, this is a bleeding-edge community OS for UDOO. It comes without any kind of warranty, so it is recommended only to experienced users. Using it, your board may be kidnapped, burnt or ate by dark kittens, or it may just produce magic smoke and flames. Use it at your own risk!

Main features:
* Based on Ubuntu 16.04
* Mate desktop environment
* Linux version is 4.1.15
* U-Boot version is 2016.09.1
* Integrated newer firmware and patches from NXP
* Wifi firmware updated
* QT 5.5 with GPU acceleration
* UDOO services ported to Systemd

Known issues:
* Audio has some glitches

The images are (almost fully) untested!

Hmmm... first I get this error message:



When I click the Download button I get this error (I have no idea what language that is or what it means):



Not sure what that blue button is supposed to do but it doesn't seem to do anything.

 

It starts downloading.

 

If you have problems with GDrive I can upload the files somewhere else.

 

That would be very helpful. Preferably a direct link so I can use wget or curl to download.

dtweb update is broken.

crashing first on /include
the version 1.13.2 is crashing at ls for 3.14
after that its crashing at
DTC arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6q-udoo-hdmi.dtb

Do we have update on the 16.XX update? I cannot download the file anymore..

I have found that guvcview video window is black, and if you try to change any setting, the app crash without any message.
I tried with 2 diferent cameras,Playstation eyetoy and MS HD-6000

 

Nice, I installed Lubuntu full desktop (removed mate) and ROS kinetic Desktop Full without issues.

I found that monitor settins from menu,doesn't work (and guccview neider)

 

Pleasd modify the kernel for get the 2nd host Usb controller (otg) working.

 

So far, is there any new version of ubuntu 16.04 for udoo Quad ?

 

Im dissapointed with the support of this company. The same that was acceptable one year ago be in 14.04. Now is not acceptable be in the same state, more when is still for sale the product.
Even not a new official kernel version +4.4 to can support a realsense for example.
Just is not possible trust in this company. One 2nd udoo I sell, one less new the will sell.

 

Is there anybody who has the istructions to configure U-Boot (version 2016.09.1) to boot from Sata, like in udoobuntu 2.2?

I had lots of fun with 16.04 but these days it needs to be upgraded to a talisman at least
