Hi everybody! I installed Ubuntu 16.04 from usb, and everything seemed to work well, but after the reboot needed by the installation Ubuntu won't boot. The screen simply remains black, while the green led on the board is on. How can I check if the OS was installed correctly? And how can I fix this situation?
I had the same issue, I was just configuring it for a nas, saved that but later pulled the power plug. I ended up having to reinstall the os, I opted to install a 32 bit os vs 64. stability is the same, but the heatsink seems cooler at "idle" usage. Once everything is finalized I'll be making a image file, just in case. Pretty Anecdotal, but I haven't had the os crap out after install 16.04 32bit, been running for 2 days
What do you mean exactly with remains black? If you turn it on, does it show the UDOO logo and do you have the option to go to the boot menu? FWIW, I've got Ubuntu 17.04 running on one of my X86s without problems.
I installed Ubuntu on the eMMC first and then when i got my M.2 drive i installed Windows 10 on it. And after that i couldnt start the Ubuntu anymore. I can choose it but when it starts up Ubuntu it remains black. I waited for 10 minutes and nothing happens. But i can try to install Ubuntu 17.04 on the emmc. //FuzzyRoll
