I made a short sample to show my problem with the UDOO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgBHLfX ... e=youtu.be As you can hear, it is always with this noise like a vinyl, and the background "himmm-noise" is also pretty strong. I played it with the build-in Media player in ubuntu 12.04, and I tried it with both my speaker and headphone, with both I have the problem. So it can only come with the problem from UDOO. Does anyone have also this problem, or anyone has the solution? Thanks
I had similar results with that software. The latest XBMC, Android, and Volumio images are much better for audio.
Yes, as ktateishi said try XBMC or Volumio, they're professional solutions for audio and video and run smoothy on UDOO.
REALLY?? Its so sad to hear from a desinger of UDOO, that you take this problem as normal.... You mean, the UDOO can not play a mp3 normaly with your provided system... This is really disappointed.
I had the same problem with my cubietruck so it's not restricted to the udoo. The way I got around it was using different programs and using usb speakers. I don't. know why but some audio programs just don't work correctly on arm cpu's.
metalzse, I just realized i didn't mention the new OS we released a couple of days ago: http://www.udoo.org/udoobuntu-presentation/ That's why i took this problem as normal, it was already fixed.
