    Hello Community,

I received my UDOO Quad today and I am super excited to get it up and running. I imaged the Ubuntu distro on the uSD card and popped it in, powered the beast and noticed a black screen for 10 minutes. I re-downloaded the OS and re-flashed the uSD multiple times, but the results never varied. I went on to troubleshoot and installed Teraterm to monitor the serial port of the device.

I noticed that the UDOO sees the OS but around 3.25 seconds into the boot it stops and freezes in place, each time I reset the UDOO I get a similar problem. Below the Teraterm logged data (.txt files attachments seem to not be allowed on the UDOO forums for some reason :?) of 2 of the approximately 10 attempts to get it started up, and you may see that each time the boot froze around the same area, but not exactly the same.

Any suggestions on how to get this working will be appreciated :)

    Daniel

That's quite weird. I fear this could be an hardware problem. have you tried flashing the mSD only with the Ubuntu image? Just to be sure please try with Android as well and tell me what kind of feedback you'll receive. Cheers.

    Delba,

I will attempt to boot up Android tonight and get back to you.

Regarding hardware, other than the connections from the UDOO, the only other hardware associated is the uSD. I am using a Kingston 16Gb Class 10 uSD, formatted to FAT32. I doubt that this problem is occurring due to the uSD but perhaps you may see a problem with this?

I noticed that many people have the HDMI problem, I don't believe that is a problem for me, because I am not getting any warnings regarding the HDMI and additionally, I see my monitor changing to slight shade of grey when attempting to boot up.

I hope that Android will boot, which proves to me that there was something wrong with the distro/flashing, but if not I am assuming there will be an exchange of UDOO.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

I guess so, let's hope it's not an HW problem. Let me know. Cheers
