UDOO DUAL/QUAD These Operating systems are out of date, When will we see some updates, especially Android (missed Nougat, time for Oreo)? Or are you done supporting these devices? UDOObuntu 2.1.4 (Ubuntu 14.04) Release Date: July 7, 2016 (Over a year since last update) ANDROID 6.0.1 MARSHMALLOW Release Date: November 24, 2016 Release Version: 6.0.1 R2 (Two new versions of Android are out)
https://www.armbian.com/udoo-quad/ Updated in July while the kernel and BSP is updated on a daily base (beta.armbian.com). Kernel 4.4., Ubuntu Xenial or Debian Stretch. Can build on your own: https://github.com/armbian/build We don't deal with Android.
Last update of Udoobuntu 2.1.4 is July 2017 so 3 months old. But an update to a newer kernel if possible would be nice... Android always seems to be a nasty thing to update.. Looking at https://github.com/UDOOboard/android_device_udoo/tree/android-7.1 they are working on Android.
Android 7.1 is a work in progress (there is no ETA yet). Ubuntu 16.04 is almost ready, we just need some testing before releasing it.
Anyway, it's a prototype board, not a computer,and the software for arduino due+ ros indigo/Kinetic full descktop+qt+opencv,ubuntu 14/16.04 opengl+android.... Is enough I think.
I'm wondering the same thing, trying to get a working Oreo on my Udoo Quad and I just can't seem to compile a working SD. Is there going to be anymore development with the Duo/Quad platform? I don't want to buy the x86 as I've got a 15" LVDS touch screen.
