    Hi,
I've installed ubuntu gnome on the mmc. If I connect a 2,5" usb HD everything works fine, but If I connect my hitachi 3.5" usb drive (3TB) the udoo x86 get stuck and it's not possible to do any action on the disk (such as create a folder or make permission ......); after a while the disk seems not connected anymore.

I've tried to use gparted to format in ext4 but the problem persist so I've formatted the disk on another machine with ubuntu and on this there is no problem at all.

Someone has more ideas to fix the problem?

    Thanks

Is the 3.5" drive powered from UDOO USB port? I think I read somewhere that 3.5" drives draw to much power for the UDOO USB port. You could try with an active USB hub.
