Hi, I am trying to install Windows 10 to the Bolt V8. The USB pen drive is booting up fine but complains about a missing driver. I suspect that the USB 3 ports and not fully supported but I cannot find a driver to bypass the issue. I am getting the error "A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard disk driver..." Any and all pointers appreciated..
If you have an official MS Win10 ISO image, please try using rufus (latest version) to create the USB boot/installation drive.
Had the same message/problem. Badly created usb installation media. Used rufus to write image again and it works. Thanks ccs_hello.
@John Smith @ccs_hello Folks, many thanks for the help. I am used to using linux for everything and was creating the USB Drive using Gnome Disks. I used the Windows Media Creation tool and it worked a dream. Many thanks..
Great! I have done this a few times on my computer.Rufus is really good at creating the USB bootable drive. And Free ISO Burner can also be used to do the same thing, they are free software.
I have this problem also. I create my media on a Linux system using dd, so am not able to use Rufus. How can I create my Windows 10 USB drive so I can install Windows on my Bolt? 8-Dale
