    Hi,

    I have a udoo-quad.
To it an svga monitor is connected via an hdmi-to-svga adapter.
In the bootloader, I set the resolution to 1024x768 (or else it would do 1920x1080 which my monitor does not support).
As software I installed the Ubuntu image from the udoo-site (version 12 iirc).
When things start I see the bootloader message with the udoo-logo and then I see Linux start upto (and including) the login prompt.
The X-environment won't start though. It shortly blanks the screen during boot and then goes back to the textual login-prompt. Usually this happens when it cannot start X for some reason.
Xorg does not log any errors, only warnings:
    Code:
    root@udoo:~# grep -e WW -e EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.

    Any ideas?

Please close this topic: the problem was lightdm being somewhat broken due to uninstall of gnome.
