Hello I'm interested in the Yocto image for the UDOO. I would like to compile it myself. However beside the SD Image I'm not able to find any source or documentation on how this image was created. Is there any information available on this? Thank you for your help. Regards Pascal
UDOO haven't as yet released the source for everything on offer but have indicated they will be once they have sorted out some issues and things settle down.
Do you know if the issues are technical or legal? In case of technical issues I (and maybe others) might be able to help.
Technical I would think but I don't really know. There are quite a few talents in the growing community and it would be great if UDOO do seize the opportunity and utilise them. The problem, as always, is how to do so.
At this point the issue is technical, but its about incompleteness. UDOO has stated in another thread that at this point the feel the code is too incomplete and unstable (dont quote me, but it was something like that) to release just yet. They are working now to clean it up and stabilize it a bit and then they will be releasing it publicly. To be clear i dont think they are implying they will spend months upon months "cleaning it up". I think they are planning a refresh of most of the current images in the next week or so, and i would expect the Yocto stuff to be right around then as well.
To confirm the Lifeboat_Jim & DracoLlasa replies: yes we're working on it, we've got some technical problems but we think we can solve'em all and release both the image and binaries of Yocto asap.
I'm interested in the Yocto image for the UDOO DUAL too. when will be available please. I think the UDOO team is doing a great job. THX
